Your First Class

We want you to feel comfortable and successful when you come to your first class.

Tips & Protocols for Success

We’re so excited to have you join us! To ensure your first visit is smooth, safe, and enjoyable, please review the following guidelines:

Class Selection

Please book an “All Levels” class for your first visit. These classes are specifically designed to support & accommodate beginners while still challenging all participants in a safe and effective way.

Arrive Early

Arrive 10 minutes before class to allow time for check-in and setup.

  • Studios open 15 minutes before scheduled class time (not earlier).

  • Doors lock promptly when class begins, and late entry is not permitted (you will considered a no-show and lose the pass).

  • We are unable to pause class once it has started to accommodate late arrivals.

Location & Parking

We are located at 397 Bedford Hwy (3rd floor of the Remax building).

  • Please enter through the main front doors.

  • On Sundays or before 8:00am, please use the smaller door located directly to the right of the main entrance.

  • If this is your first visit, please plan extra time to find us and get settled.

Setup & Orientation

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first class so we can properly introduce you to the reformer and ensure your setup is safe and comfortable.

  • If you are recovering from an injury or have any physical limitations, please let us know and we will try our best to provide modifications.

What to Wear

  • Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing.

  • Grip socks are mandatory for all classes (Available for purchase in-studio for $12 + tax).

Waiver & Booking Policy

  • Your waiver will be sent to you prior to class and must be completed before attending.

  • Members are responsible to cancel their own class via the APP or Member Portal. We have a 5-hour cancellation window. Late cancellations (within 5 hours of class) are charged $12 + tax.

  • No-shows are charged $15 + tax or lose one class from their pass.

  • Emergency? Cancel class and email info@thefitnessroom.ca to request the fee be waived.

  • Clients are responsible for managing their own bookings and cancellations through the website or app if needed. Get the App Here.

Waitlist

  • Our waitlist moves quickly, so please treat waitlisted classes like a confirmed booking.

  • If your plans change and you can’t attend, be sure to remove yourself.

  • If you are moved into a class from the waitlist, you’ll receive an email (or a text if you have a phone number on file).

Do I need Pilates Experience?

  • No! Beginners are always welcome.

  • We recommend starting with our 4-Week Welcome Package.

  • Aim for 2 classes per week for 4 weeks to build confidence, consistency, and see results.

  • Book any of our All Levels classes, they're designed to support beginners while still challenging experienced participants.

  • Like any sport or skill, consistency creates results. You wouldn't lift weights once a month and expect to get stronger, Pilates is the same.
